New Year, New You?

Happy 2010 y'all! I'm so happy to be in the new year and can't wait for all that it holds for me! Our new year's celebration was filled with friends, food, and plenty of laughs. I've loved reading about everyone's resolutions and have started to compile a list of my own. Here are a few of my toppers:
  1. Take better care of myself- I feel like I am always on the go, or always exhausted from being on the go! I did not do a very good job of taking care of myself over this past year. I know that If I set the ever-expected weightloss goal that I won't succeed (too much pressure!), so resolving to take better care of myself helps to cover many more facets.

  2. Stay organized- I've spoken before about how I am a hit/miss organizer. I'm either really organized or all over the place. Let's see if 2010 can bring more consistancy to summertime b!

  3. Enjoy my time with loved ones- Sometimes I get overly stressed about get-togethers. What should I wear/bring/make, etc. Although I always enjoy my time with friends & family, I feel like I also spend too much time stressing on the details. At the end of the day its the time spent together and the laughs had that really matter.

  4. Stop complaining & do something about it! I'm sure it happens to everyone, but I am stuck in a rut where I complain, complain, complain, but never end up doing anything about it. This reaches over a few different areas of my life so I am trying to step up and not only talk the talk, but walk the walk!

2010 here I come!!

Another resolution of mine (which should come as no surprise) is to finish planning my wedding! This isn't really a resolution but it is definitely something that needs to be done over the course of this year. Regarding wedding details, I have picked my bridesmaids dresses! I think they are so adorable and look really comfy as well. They are from JCrew and are in a light pewter color. I wanted to choose a neutral and add a pop of color with jewelry. I had originally thought of light blue as a bmaids dress color, but it seems like everyone in the world chooses some shade of blue. I wanted something different and not so 'cookie-cutter'. I think that the color achieves this perfectly, while still being classic and elegant for evening.

What do you all think??

I love the idea of pops of color. We have very similar resolutions. It's so important to take time out for yourself, something everyone often forgets. That dress is to die for!

Hi, did you know that you can get wedding Insurance? There are companies that will cover your losses, if a major catastrophe should occur... Anyway, best wishes for your wedding plan.

This dress is amazing! The above necklace colors would be great with this color. And this is something that I would wear again.
