Well, today marks my official 2 year anniversary with my company. Looking back, its hard to believe that i've already been here for two years. I've grown up a lot and my life has changed immensely during this time. Cheers to (hopefully) another great year! (And earning two more days vacation!!!)
Speaking of work, I opened my email account this morning to a forward from a coworker that I just had to share with you all. As I'm sure many of you have heard, the weather in New England has been horrible this summer. It feels like we've only seen the sun a handful of times. Its the middle of July and not even 70 degrees out. Yuck. Today we actually can see some blue skies, but it doesn't make up for the past two months of dreariness. That being said, this story is very fitting:
A curious fellow died one day and found himself waiting in the long line of judgment.
As he stood there he noticed that some souls were allowed to march right through the pearly gates into Heaven.
Others though, were led over to Satan who threw them into the burning pit.
But every so often, instead of hurling a poor soul into the fire, Satan would toss a soul off to one side into a small pile.
Watching Satan do this several times, the fellow's curiosity got the best of him.
So he strolled over and asked Satan what he was doing.
"Excuse me, Mr. Prince of Darkness," he said. "I'm waiting in line for judgment, but I couldn't help wondering, why are you tossing those people aside instead of flinging them into the Fires of Hell with the others?"
"Ah, those," Satan said with a groan. "They're all from New England ...
They're still too wet to burn."
Happy Thursday ladies...one day closer to the weekend!
